FCE Paws For The Cause” Dog Show

The Houston County Relay for Life Team FCE sponsored its' first annual Paws for a Cause Dog Show last weekend at Besty Ligon Park. The Houston County Relay would like to thank all that participated in the event. The sponsors were Accents By Bonnie and The Houston County Animal Clinic.
The judges for the event were Tami Hill, Kim Elrod, and Kayla Ryniker.
The dogs were beautiful!!
Molly a beautiful white shepherd/husky mix owned by Brooke Knight won BEST IN SHOW and BEST MIXED BREED. Edelweiss a spunky brown Dachshund owned by Sharron Knight and whom was shown by Laura Conwell won DOG/OWNER LOOK ALIKE and MOST TALKATIVE. Brownie a sweet little Chihuahua owned by Ross Choate won the MOST ORIGINAL COSTUME contest with his little cowboy outfit. Bo a lovely little Yorkie Terrier owned by Leslie Stanfill won BEST PURE BREED AND HAPPIEST. Debbie Schmidt was the MC and Leader of this event for the FCE.
The turn out for this event was good for its first year. We are looking for even more entries next year. Once again thank you all to those who are supporting our Houston County Relay For Life. The Houston County Relay For Life is June 27th at Betsy Ligon Park events starting at 5 p.m.
