Magnolia Bridge As A park

> The Houston County Court will meet on Monday 18 May at 7:30 PM to vote
> on making the Magnolia Bridge area a County Park.

> We need to pack the Court room to show support. Please attend.

> The importance is twofold. If Magnolia Bridge area becomes a county
> park, then the Sheriff can patrol and arrest any alcohol/drug offenders
> on county property. Currently, the area is considered private property
> of TVA and is not subject for patrol. This will help clear up the
> increasingly problematic area in our county and return the use of
> Magnolia to a family friendly and safe recreation area.

> Secondly, the Magnolia Bridge is a strong interest point for tourism due
> to the Jack Hinson book. A clean park, as an interest area, will help
> draw tourism dollars and travel into our county. The park would present
> a favorable image of our history and help draw increased interest to the
