Coyote McCloud died on Wednesday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Longtime Nashville radio personality Coyote McCloud died on Wednesday. He was 69.

McCloud's death was announced on his Facebook page. His family said he had battling cirrhosis of the liver for some time and passed away at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday.

McCloud manned the mike as part of Y107's "Zoo Crew" for several years, as well as Kix 104. McCloud also recorded a handful of records, most notably, the novelty hit "Where's The Beef?"

He was also the voice for CMT when it first launched in 1983.
