The 25th Houston county beef show is over and for some this was their last year to compete being seniors this year. Such is the rights of passage as we travel through time take our place in the world and help other young people find a path. When you get right down to it that is what 4h is all about teaching the goals that will help you achieve your life goal whether its taking a calf throug the steps reqired to make a champion or coming up with a cure for a dreadful desease they require the same dedication and the correct steps to achive those goals. Acording to Wikipedia the goal of 4-H is to develop citizenship, leadership, and life skills of youth. so if you have a child entering the fourth grade and mention joining 4h listen.

WANT BE FORTY MORE YEARS
Forty years is a long time with out a fair as the popularity of this years
Houston county fair proved if any body in the county was not there you could not
prove it by me. The Fair offered good old-fashioned fun with great midway place
for kids, beauty contest,continuous live music, livestock cows to chickens,
logging skills, and creative arts competitions, grilling and cooking
competitions,dog shows, and finished off the weekend with a rodeo. according
to Kendall Coleman the Houston county fair board must file with the
state fair board for next years fair by October so as the Irish day celebration
takes a year of planing so will the fair. Wow I glad all I did was take Pictures
